Art. 7. Right to access personal data and other rights

1. The person has a right to obtain confirmation of the existence of his/her personal data, even if they are not yet registered, and also the right to receive a clear communication regarding this situation. 2. The person has a right to obtain an indication of: a) the original of his/her personal data; b) the purpose and mode of treatment; c) the logic applied in case of treatment effected with the use of electronic instruments; d) the owner of the data, of the person responsible for processing it and the legal representative in ref. to art. 5, comma 2; e) the subjects or categories of subject to whom the personal data is communicated to or those who may come to know of the personal data as representatives designated to do so on the national territories. 3. The person has the right to obtain: a) updating, change or integration of his/her data; b) cancellation, transformation in anonymous form the block of data treated in violation of the law, inclusive of those that need to be preserved in relation to the scope for which they were collected and subsequently treated; c) a declaration that the operations carried out in points a) and b) have been brought to the knowledge of those to whom the data has been communicated and sent, even with regards to the contents, except the case in which this would be impossible to carry out and would mean using means openly out of proportion in respect of the right being protected. 4. The person has the right to reject fully or in part: a) for legitimate reasons, the processing of his/her personal data, if these are relevant to the scope of collection; b) to the treatment of his/her personal data for the purpose of direct sales, market research or commercial communication.
