Anti-shrinkage vacuum mattress

The combination of the longitudinal chambers with the structure of the multi-layered wooden lower part, confers to Nexus important antishrinkage properties. Nexus is lightweight and can be stored in small spaces. It is made with high resistance materials. Thanks to the wooden support, the mattress can be transported by just two rescuers without compromising the stabilisation of the patient. If adequately secured, this system allows patient transportation in an inclined position. The two lower and upper chambers are made with a special nylon material coated with poly-vinyl. The lower support part is very resistant to avoid undesired scratches and guarantees a good grip. The on/off valve made of chromed brass with a built-in fitting for rubber tube is resistant to any temperature and guarantees unlimited duration.

The complete composition of Nexus is as follows

The outer lower area can be modelled to optimise the immobilization of possible fractures of the lower limbs.
The granule filled canals give form to the internal air chambers, ensuring simple and effective positioning. This allows adaptation to any patient type. The realization of rhomboid canals is exclusive to Spencer's vacuum mattresses.
For 2/3 of the length of the Nexus, in the hollow space between the two nylon-coated sheets, Nexus is stiffened with a light but rigid marine multi-layered panel, which contributes to achieve effective anti-shrinkage.
