PAX RTS AIR

The PAX RTS AIR is an innovative rescue system for lifting and transporting patients in the supine position, widely used in mountain rescue, maritime search and rescue, hostile environments and wilderness SAR. Thanks to its unique sack design allows safe and complete immobilization of the patient by means of an integrated zip, chest harness and color-coded straps. The device adapts perfectly to the patient’s shape by means of a concealed fastening system and can be used by one person even in adverse conditions. It has reinforced handles on both sides to facilitate transportation by multiple operators and conforming strap sequence and PAX rescue pendants to allow winching by helicopter. Completely without Velcro® to protect the ropes and winch straps, it has zipped pockets on both sides for storing equipment and materials when not needed. The anti-rotation device, which can be stored in a pocket inside the PAX RTS AIR, is available as an accessory. In case of need, it can be quickly attached by means of buckles.

The PAX – RTS AIR was tested according to the requirements of EUROCAE ED-14G / RTCA DO-160G for loose equipment and fulfils ‘Category U2 – Unknown Helicopter Frequencies’. Tests were performed according to DIN EN 60068-2-64:2009 (vibration test) and DIN EN 60068-2-27:2010 (impact test) in the TÜV SÜD test laboratory. The PAX Rescue Bag – RTS AIR can therefore be used in flight operations without further testing.

The PAX rescue bag hanging system is tested on a resilience of 3 tons.
