High up with Luca Fois: the challenge of the Dolomites and Spencer's support

86 peaks over 3,000 metres. 80 days. A mission between resilience, environmental data and safety. This summer, Spencer will be at the side of Luca Fois, a former special forces raider, military instructor and now a determined mountaineer, on one of the most ambitious ventures ever attempted in the Dolomites.

Luca Fois Record Dolomiti

A new challenge begins. Spencer is up in the mountains with Luca Fois.

Starting at the end of June 2025, Luca will set out with the objective of climbing all 86 Dolomite peaks above 3,000 metres in a single season. A project that combines military preparation, passion for the mountains and scientific contribution, and which Spencer has chosen to support wholeheartedly.

Why Spencer supports this project.

Sponsoring an initiative like this means much more than associating our name with a sports company. It means putting our technology and know-how at the service of a project that embodies our own values:

🔹 Reliability in extreme situations
🔹 Commitment to safety and rescue
🔹 Responsibility towards communities and the territory

During the record attempt, Luca will be equipped with a complete Spencer kit, consisting of first aid equipment and PAX medical backpacks, designed to withstand hostile environments and unpredictable weather conditions. Our devices represent not only a technical equipment, but a concrete protection network in a context where every detail can make a difference.

A personal venture with an eye on the community

Luca Fois is not a conventional athlete. With twenty years in the armed forces – ten in the paratroopers and ten in the special forces – he has built a personal path that is out of the ordinary. His entry into the army was an act of will, driven by a desire for redemption and construction. “I was the anti-soldier,” he says, “a nerd with five diopters who lied to get in. But it was from that very beginning that his method was born: preparation, study, determination and the ability to adapt.

His experience in the special forces taught him not only physical and mental endurance, but also the importance of teamwork, specialisation and responsibility. All elements that he brings with him to the mountains today.

The idea for the project was born almost by chance, but quickly took shape: ‘I wanted to break a record,’ he says, ‘and a friend told me that no one had yet mapped all the Dolomite peaks above 3,000 metres. That is how ‘Mission Dolomites’ was born.

But it is not just a personal challenge. The added value of this undertaking is the intention to give something back to the mountaineering community: for each summit reached, Luca will draw up a technical report on the state of the routes, glaciers and rock conditions, with the aim of building a useful database for those who frequent and protect the mountains.

The project has also received the support of theAssociazione Nazionale Alpini (ANA), testifying to its strategic and environmental relevance.

A summer to follow step by step

For Spencer, this initiative is an opportunity to put our solutions to the test in a real, high-altitude context, but also to tell a story of courage, method and responsibility. A story that we feel close to, because it is founded on the same principles that guide our work every day.

📲 We invite you to follow all the stages of this extraordinary adventure via our Instagram channels and those of Luca Fois.

Every peak will be an achievement, every step an opportunity to learn.
